The 4th of July is coming and with it, fireworks. More pets get separated from their humans on the 4th of July than any other day of the year.

Make sure your pets are indoors and if possible, keep your windows and doors closed to shut out as much of the noise as possible. Also, make sure your pet has a cozy quiet place to retreat if she starts feeling stressed.

Now is also a good time to make sure your pets are microchipped and the chips are registered back to you. Collars and ID tags are another way to help make sure your pet is returned to you should they get out.

Enjoy the holiday, but let’s keep our pets safe.
