Ever wonder how old your cat is in terms of human years?  Some people use to believe that one human year was equivalent to seven “cat years”. But, in reality, there is no simple single conversion rate. Cats develop faster during their first two years of life then the rest of their life. So, at the end of her first year, your cat is probably at the same developmental stage as a 10- or 15- year-old human. And, by year 2, your cat will be around 25 in human years! After that, cats tend to develop more slowly, maybe 4 or 5 human years every 12 months. When you realize your 15-year-old cat is about 76 in human years, you probably understand and appreciate why she is slowing down!
