In case you haven’t heard, St. Louis, MO Board of Alderman voted Friday 21-1 to ban declawing cats.  Also, declawing cats is a subject on the agenda of a veterinary medical conference being held in San Diego this week. Read the article “Dale, Downing: Why veterinarians should say ‘no’ to declawing—and what to say instead” for some ideas on what to tell people, or even your vet, when they say they need to have a cat declawed.

Here’s hoping more U.S. communities and states ban this totally unnecessary and harmful procedure in 2020.
